BIBLICAL:
F.I.R.E. examines cross cultural themes of Scripture and explores their implications for us today.  We look at how God has deposited various aspects of Himself in different cultures and His reasons for doing so.  The goal here is to deepen one’s faith in the true God and to worship Him … who is over all and through all and in all (Ephesians 4:6)

The following are some of the lesson titles:
    • Carefully Joined Together.
    • My Kind of Christian or God’s?
    • God’s Intercultural Journey.
    • Intercultural Community.

CULTURAL:
People from different cultures read the same Bible passage but often apply it very differently because of their cultural themes background.  F.I.R.E. helps participants understand, not only why this happens, but how it happens.  Some of our exploratory themes:
    • Our Changing Communities.
    • The Influence of Culture.
    • The Limitations of Culture.
    • Cultural Designs.
    • Cultural Detours.

PRACTICAL:
F.I.R.E. helps participants to know how to appropriately engage in three levels of learning in order to cultivate long lasting, intercultural relationships:
    • Learning about other cultures,
    • Learning from other cultures,
    • Learning with other cultures.

Igniting God's Passion That Is In Us
